TRIUMPHANT RETURN TO
ACOUSTIC PERFORMANCE WITH
Since first stepping to the stage with his short-lived band Sequoia nearly fifteen years ago at the Storyville jazz club in San Francisco, Joe Con has performed hundred and hundreds of shows. Shows in restaurants, shows in coffee shops, shows in pubs and dives bars. From Vermont to Hawaii, from Brooklyn to Manhattan Beach. In the streets and cafes of Paris and Amsterdam. In honky-tonks and speakeasies of America's Western seaboard. As a battle rapper in Oakland and a spoken word poet in Berkeley. As a folkie busking for a few bucks here and there. Sharing the stage or the bill or sometimes both with some of underground and mainstream hiphop's biggest names. Solo. With a DJ. With a loop pedal. Leading a full band. Acoustic. Plugged in. All of the above.
And up and down the California coast from tail to tip and quite a few places in between. Joe Con has been live on stage.
As an MC, he has performed with and opened for Chali 2na, Immortal Technique, Living Legends, and for rapper gods no less than Snoop Dogg himself.
If you ask him, so far he's just been "reaching for the best, and ain't seen a damn thing yet."
